Found an animal or need
to find a home for your pet? Animal Avengers can probably help*!
Although we may not be able to take your found animal
or owner turn-in (we are usually overflowing with our own!),
we will try to help you find a home for your animal through our
outreach program. Our outreach program was created to help
individuals find loving homes for animal they may have
rescued or have as a family member,
but can no longer keep.

Here is what Outreach entails as of 02/14/06:
1. Foster or find a foster for the animal until it gets
adopted**.
2. Spay or neuter the animal. Animal Avengers will not
adopt out an animal that is not spayed or neutered.
3. The animal must be up to date on all vaccinations and
you must provide Animal Avengers with a copy of these records
when you sign up for the program.
4. Fill out the DOG Outreach
Program Application or CAT Outreach
Program Application so we can learn
about you and the animal you are fostering. (This helps us
find a good match with a family!)
5. Transport your animal to and from adoptions, and wait with your animal so you can answer any questions potential adopters might have. We can not transport Outreach animals as we are
too busy
transporting our own.
6. Every weekend you want to participate in our adoptions
you will need to reserve a spot (at lease 3 days in advance) at the location you wish
to show your animal***:

Sunday Adoptions:
Dogs: 11am - 4pm

7. A $50 refundable deposit will be required the first
time you take your animal to adoptions. This fee will be refunded to you once
the animal is adopted unless you wish to donate it to Animal
Avengers to help us with our cause!
Here is what we will do for you...
1. Show your Animal at adoptions every weekend you're approved.
2. Screen all applicants just like we do with our own
animals.
3. Advertise your animal on our website, as well
as several other websites like www.1-800-Save-A-Pet.com and www.petfinder.com.
This exposure will get your dog or cat seen by many potential
new families.
Note: An adoption fee will be charged of $200 for dogs
and $100 for cats to the adopting parents for all Outreach
animals, and this fee is donated to Animal Avengers. This is the same fee that we charge for our own
animals and is non-negotiable. This fee is crucial to the
continuation of Animal Avengers and it allows us to continue
to provide for the many animals in our care.
*Animal Avengers' staff reserves the right to decide which animals are accepted into the Outreach program.
**Please note, if the animal is returned for any reason you
are responsible for fostering it once again.
***Space is limited, and dependent upon the number of volunteers at each location. No animal can be shown without prior approval.
